Where do I start?
To be completely transparent, I cringe when I have to describe myself in any setting, as in my opinion, “About Me” pages are so cliche’. Yet, I digress.
*inserts eye roll emoji and exhales*
Let me start by saying, for right now, I will not be disclosing my name, nor my location. Let’s be completely honest, I wouldn’t be able to display my authentic self and keep my day job at the same time. However, I can share with you a bit about myself.
From a socially economic perspective, I’m a twenty-something year old Financial Services consultant.
Nothing more, nothing less.
My closest friends and family members would more than likely describe me as a spontaneous thrill-seeker, that constantly seeks knowledgable experiences and opportunities to creatively express my thoughts and ideas.
Now, three things to describe me in 30 seconds:
- I have one T o u g h exterior, yet, the softest heart (I literally cry every time I watch ‘The Notebook’).
- I am Observant first, but will become a thought-provoking conversationalist if the vibe is right.
- I am an Influencer/Encourager, but will sometimes be perceived as callous (I promise, it all stems from my desire to push people to their full potential).
Hard part is over, now on to more important things.
‘Oh no girlfriend‘ was the first thought that came to mind as I scrolled through social media and witnessed the avoidable nonsense that is so easily accessible by the young girls around the world. I want us to all win; I want us to learn from each other. And if I need to share my growing pains to shed light on the importance of self-love, let the sharing begin.
I’m doing this for the culture.
This blog may make me susceptible to hatred or animosity, but this is unapologetically my thoughts and views on the world. My hope is to
open the minds and souls of my readers, more specifically, motivate young girls and women to cultivate their future, own their careers and personal endeavors, and develop an even deeper love for themselves that they didn’t realize they had the ability to possess.
So for right now, who I am doesn’t matter. I want you to embark on this journey with me, learn something new, laugh or cry at my experiences, and try to identify the silver lining in all of this.
